The PDS-734 CR links legacy RS-232, RS-485 and RS-422/485 devices to an Ethernet network. Its built-in COM ports can be mapped to standard virtual COM ports on a Windows PC, so existing serial software can keep working over the network without rewriting the application.
Beyond simple serial bridging, the unit runs a programmable device server environment and can act as a Modbus TCP to RTU/ASCII gateway for SCADA and HMI systems. Four digital inputs with latched and counter functions and four open-collector sink outputs add local discrete I/O, while a watchdog timer supports operation in demanding environments.
The PDS-734 CR uses a plastic casing with a removable terminal block for wiring, and mounts on DIN-rail or wall. It is supplied with the CA-0910 cable.
