The I-7017C CR is an RS-485 remote I/O module that takes eight differential current inputs and reports the readings over DCON. Each channel has a built-in 125 Ω input resistor, so sensor loops can be measured directly without an external shunt. Ranges are ±20 mA, 0 ~ 20 mA and 4 ~ 20 mA, with 16-bit resolution.
Open wire detection is provided for 4 ~ 20 mA inputs, which helps identify a broken sensor loop in the field. In normal mode the module samples at 10 Hz with an accuracy of ±0.1% of FSR. This variant is fixed at normal mode; the adjustable fast sampling mode is available only on the I-7017FC models.
Protection features include 3000 VDC intra-module isolation, ±4 kV contact ESD protection on each terminal and a programmable watchdog for module and communication. The unit runs from +10 ~ +30 VDC with reverse polarity protection and mounts on DIN-rail, with an operating range of -25 ~ +75 °C.
