The PISO-PS400U is a 4-axis pulse-type motion control card for industrial PCs with a universal PCI bus, suited to general-purpose motion control. Each axis outputs pulses at up to 4 MHz and reads a 32-bit encoder counter, so it can drive stepping or servo drives from a single card.
Most motion functions, including interpolation, T/S-curve acceleration and deceleration, automatic homing and synchronous actions, run in the motion ASIC rather than the host processor. Motion status, FRnet I/O and other I/O cards in the same PC can still be monitored while motors are driven, and several cards can share one PC because of the low CPU loading.
The U variant is the universal PCI version, supporting 3.3 V and 5 V PCI slots. The FRnet master expands the system with up to 128 digital inputs and 128 digital outputs, scanned automatically within 2.88 ms, and ICP DAS supplies functions and examples that reduce the programming effort required.
