PEX-P64 is a PCI Express x1 digital input board offering 64 optically isolated channels. Each channel accepts dry-contact or wet-contact signals, and the DI power source can be set by jumper to the onboard isolated DC/DC converter or to an external supply.
The channels can be grouped into four isolated banks when four isolated external supplies are used: channels 0 to 15 for bank A, 16 to 31 for bank B, 32 to 47 for bank C and 48 to 63 for bank D. The photocouplers provide 3750 Vrms isolation, which removes ground loop problems and protects the host computer from voltage spikes on field lines.
This CR variant ships with one CA-4037B cable and two CA-4002 D-Sub connectors. A Card ID switch lets software identify the board when two or more cards are installed in the same computer. The board is designed as a direct replacement for the PISO-P64U without changes to software or driver.
