uPAC-7186EXD-MTCP-G is a palm-sized programmable device server that brings serial equipment onto an Ethernet network. It acts as a Modbus TCP to RTU gateway, so SCADA and HMI systems that speak Modbus TCP can reach RTU-based devices on its RS-232 and RS-485 ports without custom communication code.
The unit runs the MiniOS7 operating system and can be programmed in C using the supplied development toolkit, which includes Modbus libraries. Engineers can add their own logic to handle serial protocols or data processing directly on the gateway. A single-board I/O expansion bus is also provided for adding analogue or digital I/O.
This gray-cover variant includes a 5-digit 7-segment LED display and a programmable status LED for local diagnostics. Its 10 to 30 VDC supply, DIN-rail mounting and -25 to +75 °C operating range suit control cabinet installations.
