The tM-AD8 CR brings eight single-ended voltage inputs onto an RS-485 network, making it a practical choice for collecting analogue signals in distributed automation cabinets. Each input can be set to one of five ranges, from 0 ~ 500 mV up to 0 ~ 10 V, so one module can accept a range of voltage-output sensors and transmitters.
Sampling can be chosen between a normal mode at 10 Hz with 14-bit resolution and ±0.1% accuracy, and a fast mode at 200 Hz with 12-bit resolution and ±0.5% accuracy. The input impedance is 10 MΩ, and the inputs tolerate overvoltage up to 120 VDC.
For harsher installations, the module provides 2500 VDC intra-module isolation and ±4 kV contact ESD protection on each terminal. A programmable dual watchdog covers both the module and communication, and reverse polarity protection is fitted on the 10 ~ 30 VDC supply. It mounts on DIN rail and operates from -25 ~ +75 °C.
