PMD-4201-SC is a Simplified Chinese edition of ICP DAS's power meter concentrator, built for panel mounting. It reads power data from ICP DAS Modbus power meters over RS-485 or Ethernet, logs the readings and makes them available locally on its 10.4" touch panel or remotely through a built-in web server. Configuration is done in a browser, so no separate software tool or programming is needed.
Beyond monitoring, the unit runs an IF-THEN-ELSE logic engine that can act on power status by switching Modbus I/O modules. This supports power demand management and load shedding, with schedules and timers for equipment control. Alarm messages can be sent via LINE, Telegram or Email, and the -SC suffix identifies the Simplified Chinese language version, distinct from the -EN and -TC editions.
Data can be stored on a microSD card and is sent back automatically when a dropped network connection is restored. Integration with SCADA, MES, IT and IoT back-end systems is handled through Modbus TCP/RTU, SNMP, FTP and MQTT, with connection options for Microsoft Azure, IBM Bluemix and ICP DAS IoTstar Cloud.
