The PCI-826LU CR is a multifunction data acquisition board for PCI slots, combining high-speed analogue input with analogue output and programmable digital I/O on a single card. Its universal PCI interface supports both 3.3 V and 5 V PCI buses, which suits a range of host computers.
The 16-bit A/D converter samples at up to 250 kS/s and is buffered by an 8 K-sample hardware FIFO. A built-in MagicScan controller handles channel selection, gain, settling time, conversion and data retrieval, so the host CPU is largely offloaded, even when scanning channels with different gain codes. Software and pacer triggers are supported, with polling or interrupt data transfer.
Pull-high and pull-low resistors on the digital inputs keep unconnected channels at a defined level, and digital output status can be read back at register level. A Card ID switch lets software identify individual boards when two or more PCI-826LU cards are installed in the same computer. The ordering code includes one CA-4002 D-Sub connector.
