M-7016D-G is an RS-485 remote I/O module for converting the electrical output of strain gauges and load cells into measurable values. Two full-bridge, 4-wire analog input channels are each configurable for a range from ±15 mV to ±2.5 V or ±20 mA, with 16-bit resolution.
A user-defined linear mapping table lets the module return readings already scaled to engineering units, such as weight, without external conversion. An excitation voltage output of 0 ~ +10 V at up to 40 mA powers the sensor bridge, and the module adds one digital input with a 50 Hz event counter and four open-collector digital outputs that can be set as high or low alarms.
Configuration is carried out over RS-485 using Modbus RTU or DCON, with baud rates from 1200 to 115200 bps. The module carries a 5-digit 7-segment LED display, built-in dual watchdog and DIN-rail mounting, making it suited to building, factory and machine automation.
