The GW-7552-M CR bridges a PROFIBUS DP network and Modbus serial devices. It operates as a DP-V0 slave, so a PROFIBUS master can read and write data from Modbus equipment without changes to the field devices. Typical Modbus endpoints include PLCs, sensors and ICP DAS M-7000 series modules.
Configuration is carried out with the manufacturer's utility software. The PROFIBUS node address is set from 0 to 126 using a DIP switch, and the transmission rate is detected automatically. The serial side is a hybrid COM 1 port that can be set to RS-232, RS-422 or RS-485, and it supports Modbus Master or Slave operation in RTU or ASCII format.
The gateway uses high speed iCoupler isolation on the network side and provides 3000 VDC isolation on the PROFIBUS side. Its metal housing is mounted on a DIN rail and is rated for an operating range of -25 ~ +75℃, which suits panel-based installations in factory and process automation.
