The F-8019 CR is a 16-bit, 8-channel analogue input module for thermocouple and voltage measurement. Each channel has its own programmable input range, covering millivolt, voltage and thermocouple types J, K, T, E, R, S, B, N and C, so one module can handle mixed sensor types within an iDCS-8000 system.
Designed for measurement reliability, the module supports an external cold junction compensation (CJC) for accurate temperature readings and offers ±0.05% FSR accuracy. Open wire detection helps identify broken sensor connections, while 3000 VDC isolation between the channels and the backplane, and between the output and frame ground, keeps faults on the field side from spreading into the rest of the system.
The redundancy function, with a switching time below 100 µs, suits applications where continuous acquisition matters. Typical areas include building automation, factory and machine automation, testing equipment and remote maintenance and diagnosis.
