The I-8051 CR is a 16-channel digital input module for reading dry contact switches over long cable runs. Each channel is read by connecting it to GND (ON) or leaving it open (OFF), so it suits simple switch, relay and push-button monitoring in panel and machine wiring.
All 16 channels are non-isolated and each terminal has ±4 kV contact ESD protection to IEC 61000-4-2. A status LED for every input, plus one for power and communication, makes it straightforward to check field wiring and channel state during commissioning and fault finding.
This variant is the blue-cover version. The I-8051-G is listed as a similar model in the same series.
