The ECAT-M808-8AX/S CR is a PCI Express EtherCAT MainDevice card for PC-based motion and I/O applications. It supports up to 8 axes and up to 512 EtherCAT slaves, and its onboard CPU handles the multi-axis motion and I/O functions, reducing the processing load on the host PC.
Onboard I/O comprises 13 digital inputs (wet contact, sink/source) and 13 open-collector sink outputs, plus two encoder interfaces with compare trigger outputs. Synchronised motion modes including E-GEAR and E-CAM, virtual axes and multi-axis linear interpolation are available for coordinated machine control.
This variant is supplied with a DN-26 and cables, so it is ready to connect on delivery. A second CPU provides EtherCAT communication retention, helping keep the network and process recipe running even if the operating system or application crashes.
