ECAT-2515 CR is a 6-port EtherCAT junction SubDevice module that lets you build branch topologies from a single EtherCAT segment. Its one IN port connects to the upstream network, and its five OUT ports feed separate branches, so you can replace long daisy chains with a more manageable layout.
Sectioned wiring makes commissioning and fault finding easier. If a SubDevice fails or a cable is disconnected, only the devices in the same section are affected, and the remaining sections can continue to communicate with the Main Device controller. Each section can then be debugged on its own, which shortens troubleshooting time.
The module supports daisy chain and star connection, with up to 100 m between stations over 100BASE-TX. It is EtherCAT conformance test tool verified, has 4 kV contact ESD protection on each port, and mounts on a DIN rail in a plastic housing with reverse polarity protection on its +10 ~ +30 VDC supply.
