The tM-AD8C CR is an RS-485 current input module for engineers who need eight single-ended analog inputs on a DIN-rail node. Every channel can be set to either the 0 ~ 20 mA or the 4 ~ 20 mA range, so one module suits common process-signal transmitters without any change to the wiring scheme.
Sampling can be switched between a normal mode, which gives 14-bit resolution at ±0.1% accuracy and 10 Hz, and a fast mode, which gives 12-bit resolution at ±0.5% accuracy and 200 Hz. The module supports DCON, Modbus RTU and Modbus ASCII over its RS-485 port, with baud rates from 1200 to 115200 bps, and it provides a dual watchdog covering the module and the communication link.
Electrical robustness is built in, with 2500 VDC intra-module isolation, ±4 kV EFT protection on power and ±4 kV contact / ±8 kV air ESD protection. The unit is powered from 10 ~ 30 VDC with reverse polarity protection and operates from -25 ~ +75 °C.
