The PFN-2042 CR is a PROFINET IO Device that adds 16 isolated digital outputs to a PROFINET network. Each channel is a sink-type NMOS output rated up to 700 mA per channel, with a load voltage range of +3.5 ~ +50 VDC, so it can switch a wide range of field actuators and indicators directly.
Engineers can integrate the module using the generic GSDML file (Version 2.25), which works with any PROFINET engineering tool. It supports a cyclic time of 1 ms (minimum) and conforms to PROFINET Conformance Class B and RT Class 1, with services including RTC, RTA, CL-RPC, DCP, LLDP and I&M.
Short-circuit protection on the digital output channels and 4 kV contact ESD protection on every terminal help the module stay robust in demanding installations. The unit mounts on a DIN-rail and is rated for an operating temperature of -25 ~ +75 ℃.
