The M-2004 CR connects four DS18B20 digital temperature sensor ports to an RS-485 network, with each port accepting 2-wire or 3-wire sensor connections. It suits engineers who need several measurement points accessible over Modbus RTU or DCON from a single DIN-rail unit.
Each port takes up to 20 sensors and supports cable runs of up to 100 m using daisy-chain wiring. The DS18B20 sensors cover -55 to +125 °C, with ±0.5 °C accuracy specified between -10 and +85 °C and 12-bit resolution at a 1 Hz sampling rate.
For electrically noisy plant environments, the module provides EFT, ESD and surge protection, 3000 VDC isolation and a programmable watchdog timer. It operates from +10 to +48 VDC with reverse polarity protection, across an operating range of -25 to +75 °C.
