The I-8053-G CR is a 16-channel digital input module for monitoring wet contact signals in industrial control systems. Each channel accepts sink or source type inputs, so the module can be wired to either NPN or PNP field devices within the 10~30 VDC input range.
Photocoupler isolation and 3750 VDC intra-module isolation enhance noise immunity in industrial environments. The module also provides 4 kV ESD protection on each terminal, which makes it suitable for engineers working with the I-8K/I-87K low-profile series in gray cover form.
A status LED for power and communication plus one LED per I/O channel makes it straightforward to check input states during commissioning and fault finding. The module is rated for an operating temperature of -25 ~ +75 °C and a storage temperature of -40 ~ +85 °C.
