The I-7017FC CR is an 8-channel current input module for engineers who need to read process currents over RS-485. Its built-in 125 Ω input resistor allows direct current measurement without external shunts, which keeps wiring and commissioning simple.
This fast sampling version lets you choose between Fast mode at 60 Hz with ±0.5% of FSR accuracy and Normal mode at 10 Hz with ±0.1% of FSR accuracy. Open wire detection is provided for 4 ~ 20 mA inputs, and the module offers 3000 VDC intra-module isolation along with ±4 kV contact ESD protection on each terminal.
Communication is handled through a single RS-485 port using the DCON protocol, with baud rates from 1200 to 115200 bps. The module is designed for DIN-rail mounting and suits building, factory and machine automation, as well as remote diagnosis and maintenance and test equipment.
