The VP-4238-CE7 CR combines an IEC 61131-3 soft PLC, an HMI and a Windows CE 7.0 runtime in one panel-mounted unit. Its 1 GHz Cortex-A8 processor and 10.4-inch TFT LCD with rubber keypad let an engineer run control logic and operator screens on the same device, without a separate PC or panel terminal.
Three slots accept high profile I-8K parallel or I-87K serial I/O modules, so the controller can be sized to the application. Communication is covered by Ethernet, RS-232, RS-485 and two USB 2.0 ports, with Modbus RTU/TCP, Modbus ASCII, OPC UA and DCON support. Win-GRAF applications and the included eLogger HMI editor can be combined with Visual Studio 2008 (VB .NET, C#) for custom HMI and data management work.
