The USB-4018HS is an 8-channel high speed thermocouple input module that connects directly to a PC over USB 2.0 Full-Speed (12 Mbps). It takes its power from the USB bus, so no external supply is needed, and it suits engineers who need fast, isolated temperature acquisition at a desk, on a test bench or inside a larger PC-based system.
Each channel accepts a wide range of thermocouple types, including J, K, T, E, R, S, B, N, C, L, M and L(DIN43710), and samples at 100Hz per channel with a stated resolution of 0.1ºC and accuracy of ±0.5ºC. Built-in watchdog timers, status LEDs and 3000 VDC intra-module isolation help protect the measurement chain and the host computer.
Drivers are supplied for Windows 7/10/11 as a USB virtual COM port, and Linux (kernel 2.4 or later) is also covered. The module communicates using Modbus RTU. The order includes a 1.5 m USB cable with ferrite core and lockable connectors.
