The M-7017RMS-G CR is an RS-485 remote I/O module for measuring AC signals. It provides eight differential inputs that calculate the True RMS value of complex waveforms and report the result as a DC value, so the measurement stays accurate on non-sinusoidal signals as well as pure sine waves.
Each channel can be configured individually across five input ranges, from 0 ~ +150 mVrms up to 0 ~ +10 Vrms. The module is factory calibrated with ±0.15% accuracy at 50/60 Hz and supports standard operating frequencies from 45 Hz to 10 kHz. Built-in 2500 VDC intra-module isolation and ±35 VDC overvoltage protection help protect the module and the wider system.
The module is configured and read over a single RS-485 port using Modbus RTU or DCON at baud rates from 1200 to 115200 bps. It runs from a +10 ~ +30 VDC supply with reverse polarity protection, mounts on a DIN rail and operates from -25 ~ +75 °C. The grey-cover variant is suited to panel installations in building, factory and machine automation.
