The LP-2841M CR is a Linux-based PAC built around a quad-core Cortex-A53 processor running at up to 1.6 GHz per core, with Linux Kernel 5.4.70 as its operating system. It suits engineers who need a general-purpose controller that can run custom Linux applications and handle several serial and network connections on one unit.
Connectivity centres on two 10/100/1000M RJ-45 Ethernet ports and four serial ports: one RS-232 console port, one non-isolated RS-232 port and two isolated RS-485 ports rated at 2500 VDC. Two USB 2.0 host ports, a VGA output and an XV-board expansion bus add further options for local interfaces and I/O extension.
Storage includes 8 GB eMMC and a microSD socket, supporting cards up to 32 GB microSDHC. The unit provides 64 KB of FRAM for non-volatile data, a real-time clock, dual watchdog timers and a 64-bit hardware serial number for software copy protection. The metal housing mounts on DIN-rail or, optionally, on a wall.
