FR-2053iT is a FRnet I/O module that adds 16 isolated digital inputs to a PC, PAC or PLC control system. Each channel accepts Sink/Source (NPN/PNP) wet-contact signals across a +19 ~ +30 VDC ON voltage range, with a maximum OFF level of +11 VDC, so it suits engineers who need a compact, wire-saving way to bring field contacts into a FRnet network.
Modules connect in a daisy chain over a two-wire FRnet bus. Speed is selectable between 250 kbps and 1 Mbps via DIP switch, with 1 Mbps as the default. Broadcast (1:n) transmission, easy output duplication, a simple synchronisation mechanism and fixed I/O scan time help keep control timing predictable across the network.
The module provides 3000 Vrms intra-module isolation and 3750 Vrms isolation on the digital inputs, along with EFT, ESD and surge immunity to IEC 61000-4-4, -4-2 and -4-5. It is housed in a plastic casing for DIN-rail mounting and is rated for operation from -25 ~ +75 °C.
