EIP-2051 is an EtherNet/IP remote I/O module that brings 16 digital input and counter channels onto an Ethernet network. It works as an EtherNet/IP adapter, so it can be placed on the factory floor and tied into the wider network without a separate fieldbus gateway.
The inputs accept wet or dry contacts with sink/source operation, and the 32-bit counters run at up to 3 kHz. Input status and connection status are shown by LEDs, which simplifies commissioning and fault finding. Two auto-negotiating 10/100 Base-TX RJ-45 ports support daisy chain wiring, while star, line and ring topologies are also supported.
