Toote teave "ECAT-2601 EtherCAT MainDevice Gateway for Modbus and OPC UA"
The ECAT-2601 CR is a gateway that connects an EtherCAT network with Modbus and OPC UA systems. Its built-in EtherCAT MainDevice drives EtherCAT SubDevices directly, and a shared data exchange buffer makes their I/O data available to Modbus masters over Modbus TCP and Modbus RTU (slave).
Engineers will value that it connects to SubDevice PDO without requiring an ESI file and supports third-party EtherCAT SubDevices. Free Run mode is supported, the minimum cycle time is 125us, and it reconnects to SubDevices within 10 seconds after power-on. User-defined SDO startup entries can be set, and configuration is handled through the built-in web interface over HTTP/HTTPS.
An OPC UA Server in the firmware lets standard OPC UA clients connect without custom development, covering machine-to-machine communication as well as links to SCADA systems and cloud platforms. The ordering code ECAT-2601 CR denotes the RoHS-compliant version, and the unit mounts on DIN-rail.
Applications
- Machine-to-machine data exchange between EtherCAT and Modbus systems
- Vertical integration of EtherCAT machines with SCADA systems
- Connecting EtherCAT machines to cloud platforms via OPC UA
- Integrating third-party EtherCAT SubDevices into Modbus or OPC UA networks
