The ECAT-2045-32 is an EtherCAT SubDevice that adds 32 isolated digital outputs to an EtherCAT network. Each channel is an open-collector sink (NPN) output rated at 500 mA, switching loads from +3.5 VDC to +50 VDC, with 3750 Vrms isolation between the field side and the bus.
Two RJ-45 ports allow the module to be daisy-chained, so cabling can follow star, line or ring layouts with fewer switches and less infrastructure. Stations can be spaced up to 100 m apart over 100BASE-TX, and distributed clocks are supported with a 1 ms cycle time.
- Status of each output is visible on the LED indicators as well as in the process data.
- Verified with the EtherCAT conformance test tool, so it works with any compliant EtherCAT Main Device or configurator.
