DeviceNet
GW-7243D-G CR connects Modbus slave devices to a DeviceNet network. On the DeviceNet side it operates as a Group 2 Only Server and waits for the DeviceNet master to establish its connections. On the Modbus side it acts as the master, cyclically issuing commands to the slave devices it is configured to read and write.Modbus TCP client and Modbus RTU/ASCII master interfaces run at the same time, so slave devices with an Ethernet, RS-232 or RS-485 interface can all be mapped into one DeviceNet installation. This removes the need for a separate gateway for each communication type.A GW-7243D Utility tool is supplied for configuration and for generating the EDS file, which helps speed up commissioning of the DeviceNet and Modbus setup.ApplicationsProduction cells and automated manufacturing linesFood and beverage packing and bottling linesBrewery equipmentBakery and dinnerware productionHVAC module productionRolling steel door and overhead storage bin productionLCD manufacturing plant automation
The GW-7434D-G CR bridges a DeviceNet network to Ethernet-based PLCs, HMIs and SCADA systems. It operates as a DeviceNet master with predefined master/slave connection set functions, polling slaves automatically and cyclically, so engineers can read and write DeviceNet I/O using Modbus TCP commands without implementing the DeviceNet protocol themselves.Beyond the DeviceNet bridge, the unit can act as a Modbus TCP server or VxComm server for devices on its RS-232 or RS-485 port. This allows a host to reach DeviceNet slaves and serial Modbus RTU or Modbus ASCII devices through one Ethernet connection. Configuration is handled with the vendor's Utility software.Modbus TCP to DeviceNet master gateway with up to 512 bytes of Modbus I/O mapped to DeviceNet I/OSupports Poll, Bit-Strobe and Change of State/Cyclic I/O operation modesIdeal for integrating existing DeviceNet networks into Ethernet-based control or monitoring systemsApplicationsDeviceNet gas valve stationRobotic arm controlTouch HMI applicationsModbus TCP/RTU slave to DeviceNet master gatewaySingle Modbus/TCP to multi-Modbus/RTU converterProtocol converter for serial devices using VxComm
The I-7565-DNM-G CR is a USB-attached DeviceNet master converter. It lets a host PC run a DeviceNet master on the network without a dedicated PAC or fieldbus card, which makes it a cost-effective option for adding DeviceNet control to existing systems. It supports Group 2 Only Server and UCMM functions for communicating with slave devices. The converter has one independent CAN-based DeviceNet port, built around an NXP SJA1000T controller running at 16 MHz. The programmable master MAC ID and selectable baud rate of 125, 250 or 500 kbps suit a range of network layouts. A jumper provides a 120 Ω terminal resistor, and the port is isolated, rated at 3000 VDC for DC-to-DC and 2500 Vrms for photo-coupling.Drivers are supplied for Win XP, Win7, Win8 and Win10 in 32-bit and 64-bit editions, along with a Linux driver. The SDK covers x64 DLL, .NET DLL, VB6, VC6 and BCB6 environments. The unit mounts on a DIN rail and operates from -25 ~ +75 °C.ApplicationsCommunication with PowerFlex400 drivesSMC valve applicationsIFC-125 valve applicationsMKS FRCA valve applicationsSICK distance sensor applicationsDiagnostic systems for wheeled tractors
The I-8124W-G adds a DeviceNet master port to WinPAC, ViewPAC and XPAC-CE6 controllers over the parallel bus. It runs a CAN controller with an isolated DeviceNet port, so an engineer can run a DeviceNet network from a PAC without a separate fieldbus gateway. The master supports up to 64 nodes, with a programmable master MAC ID and Group 2 and UCMM functions. Poll, Bit-Strobe and Change Of State/Cyclic I/O operation modes are available, and the module can auto-scan slave devices, add or remove devices while the network is online, and reconnect automatically after a broken connection.Suited to valve and sensor integration and to drive communication, the module is supplied as ordering code I-8124W-G CR. Key specifications include a 125k, 250k or 500k baud rate, a switchable 120 Ω terminal resistor, 3000 VDC DC-to-DC isolation and an operating range of -25 ~ +75 ℃.ApplicationsCVD DeviceNet applicationsCommunication with PowerFlex400 drivesSMC valve applicationsIFC-125 valve applicationsMKS FRCA valve applicationsSICK distance sensor applicationsIndustrial automation, building automation, vehicle, marine and embedded control networks
The I-87124-G gives WinPAC and ViewPAC controllers a DeviceNet master port, so a PAC can poll and manage slave devices on a DeviceNet network without a separate fieldbus gateway. The module sits on the CAN bus side as a standalone CAN controller and handles the master role, with support for up to 63 slave nodes.Engineers choosing this module will find a full set of I/O operation modes and network management features. Poll, Bit-Strobe and Change Of State/Cyclic modes are supported, together with Group 2 and UCMM functions, automatic detection of Group 2 and UCMM devices, and automatic scanning of slave devices. Devices can be added to or removed from a running network, and the connection re-establishes automatically if it is broken. For electrical design, the port is isolated, with 3000 VDC for DC-to-DC and 2500 Vrms for photo-coupling, and includes a switchable 120 Ω terminal resistor. Software support covers Windows CE with SDKs for VB.Net 2005, C#.Net 2005 and eVC++ 4.0. The module is rated for an operating temperature of -25 ~ +75 ℃.ApplicationsIndustrial automationIndustrial machineryBuilding automationFood and beverageSemiconductor fabricationVehicle, marine and embedded control networksControl systems
The PEX-DNM100-D adds a DeviceNet master to a Windows PC through a PCI Express slot. It acts as the master on a DeviceNet network and communicates with slave devices using the predefined master-slave connection set, with Group 2 server and UCMM functions. Its independent CAN bus port makes it a cost-effective option for DeviceNet applications that need a dedicated master interface. The board uses an NXP SJA1000 CAN controller, which handles bus arbitration, error detection with automatic correction and retransmission. Master MAC ID and baud rate are programmable, and the board supports auto-search, on-line adding and removing of devices, and automatic reconnection after a broken connection.Supplied with drivers for Windows XP, 7, 8 and 10 (32-bit and 64-bit) and an SDK for VB 6.0, VC++ 6.0, BCB 6.0 and Visual Studio .NET, it suits industrial automation, building automation, vehicle, marine and embedded control networks.ApplicationsIndustrial automationBuilding automationVehicle systemsMarine systemsEmbedded control networks
PISO-DNM100U-D is a single-port DeviceNet master card for PCI-based Windows systems.
