The VP-6238-CE7 is a 15-inch panel-mount programmable automation controller that combines an operator display with a Win-GRAF logic controller. A Cortex-A8 CPU running at 1.0 GHz executes Windows CE 7.0 and embedded Win-GRAF SoftLogic programmed to IEC 61131-3, so control logic and the front-panel HMI can share one device.
Three slots accept high-profile I-8K parallel or I-87K serial I/O modules, allowing the unit to be configured for local I/O. Communication is handled by one RJ-45 10/100/1000 Base-TX Ethernet port, an RS-232 port, an isolated RS-485 port and two USB 2.0 ports. Supported protocols include OPC UA, Modbus TCP/IP and Modbus RTU master and slave.
The front panel is rated NEMA 4/IP65 and the unit is installed through a 366 x 290 mm panel cut-out. It operates from -20 to +70 °C and has redundant power inputs rated at +10 to 30 VDC. This ordering code is the RoHS-marked version of the VP-6238-CE7 series.
