The I-9014 CR is an analog input module for engineers who need fast, accurate voltage and current acquisition within an I-9K/I-97K series system. Its channels can be configured as 16 single-ended or 8 differential inputs using jumpers, covering ±10 V, ±5 V, ±2.5 V, ±1.25 V and ±20 mA ranges.
The module's Magic Scan function lets individual channels be sampled at different input ranges. When scanning a single channel, the sampling rate is maintained at 250 kS/s. Magic Scan can run as a standard scan or as a Virtual Sample and Hold function, which offers a lower-cost alternative to hardware sample-and-hold on many analog input cards.
A 4 K-word FIFO buffer stores conversions on board. When the sample count passes a pre-defined FIFO level, an interrupt notifies the host, which suits time-critical logging and vibration work where the host must not miss data. Post-trigger external triggering and internal or external start are supported.
