The ET-7042 CR is an Ethernet I/O module that switches 16 sink-type digital outputs over a single 10/100 Base-TX RJ-45 port. Each output is an isolated open collector rated from +5 to +30 VDC, with up to 100 mA per channel at 25°C. Power-on and safe values for the outputs are programmable, so the module can drive known states when the network or host is unavailable.
Communication uses Modbus TCP or Modbus UDP, and the built-in web server provides a Web HMI for setup and monitoring without additional software. Access control is handled through ID, password and IP filtering. A module watchdog and a communication watchdog, both programmable, help maintain safe operation, and the I/O pair connection feature is available.
Isolation is rated at 1500 VDC on the Ethernet side and 2500 VDC on the I/O side. There is no channel-to-channel isolation. The module can drive the RM series relay modules directly to switch inductive loads. It is powered from +10 to +30 VDC through a terminal block with reverse polarity protection, draws 2.7 W maximum, and mounts on DIN rail.
