M-2217CI-4 is a 4-channel differential analog input module for RS-485 networks, suited to engineers who need electrically isolated measurement channels. Each channel can be set in software for voltage or current input and configured individually for its range, from ±1 V up to ±10 V, or 0–20 mA, 4–20 mA and ±20 mA. Open-wire detection is provided on the 4–20 mA channels.
The module offers a selectable sampling rate of 200 Hz in fast mode or 10 Hz in normal mode, with time-stamped recording of both voltage and current values. With 16-bit resolution and an accuracy of 0.1% of FSR, it is a practical choice for multi-point process signal acquisition where data traceability matters.
For harsh installations, the module includes 120 VDC overvoltage protection, 50 mA overcurrent protection at 110 VDC (max.), EMS protection against EFT, ESD and surge, and 3000 VDC channel-to-channel isolation. Mounting is on DIN rail, with wall mounting available using the optional ASO-0015 kit.
