The I-8053PW-G CR is a 16-channel digital input module for reading wet contacts across a 10~30 VDC range. Each input accepts sink or source wiring, which simplifies connection to a wide variety of field devices and sensors without changing the module.
Every input is photocoupler-isolated, with 3750 VDC intra-module isolation and ±4 kV ESD protection on each terminal. These features are intended to improve noise immunity in electrically harsh industrial cabinets. A low pass filter, selectable between 1 ms and 70 ms by jumper or CPU parameter, helps suppress contact bounce and short-duration disturbances, with a default of 10 ms.
Front-panel LEDs show the power and communication state along with one indicator per input channel, making commissioning and fault finding quicker. The module is rated for an operating temperature of -25 ~ +75 °C and is suited to building, factory and machine automation, as well as remote maintenance and diagnosis. Within the I-8K/I-87K High Profile range, the -G variant can be compared with the similar I-8053W-G and I-8053W-A1-G when selecting a model.
