The tM-P8 CR is an RS-485 remote I/O module that brings eight isolated digital inputs into a DCON or Modbus network. Each channel is photocoupler-isolated, which helps keep field wiring electrically separate from the control side, and the module provides 3750 VDC intra-module isolation and 4 kV ESD protection.
Channels accept source- or sink-type wiring, and the dry or wet contact mode is set through wire connections, so one module can suit a range of field devices. Every input can also operate as a 16-bit counter with a maximum count of 65535 and a frequency of 100 Hz, which makes the module suitable for pulse counting and on/off monitoring.
