The PMC-5236M-4GC CR collects data from ICP DAS Modbus power meters over RS-485 or Ethernet and turns it into energy monitoring and management information. It is aimed at engineers building energy measurement systems who need power consumption tracked per device, with usage analysis and power demand management built in.
Configuration is carried out entirely through a web browser, so no additional software tool or programming is needed. Logic is set up through web pages, and real-time or historical power data can be viewed and reported from the same interface. Power data is stored on a microSD card and sent back to the back-end system automatically once a lost network connection is restored.
For control and alerts, the unit provides an IF-THEN-ELSE logic engine, timers, schedules and alarm messages via LINE, Telegram, Email, SMS or WeChat. Modbus I/O modules can be adjusted according to the power status. Integration with SCADA, IT and IoT platforms is supported through Modbus TCP/RTU, SNMP, FTP and MQTT, with connections to Microsoft Azure, IBM Bluemix and ICP DAS IoTstar.
