PISO-PS600 is a PCI motion controller for engineers who need to coordinate up to six axes from a PC. A DSP and FPGA combination handles pulse output, encoder feedback and interpolation on the card, so the host is free to run the application logic. Each axis can run in full-closed or semi-closed loop operation, with incremental or absolute positioning.
The card suits machines that need fast trajectory control, such as X-Y-Z tables, stamping and transfer equipment. Motion profiles use programmable T/S-curve acceleration and deceleration, and speed and position can be changed while a move is in progress. Linear interpolation across two to six axes, circular interpolation across two to three axes and helical interpolation on three axes are all supported.
An onboard FRnet master port extends the digital I/O by up to 128 inputs and 128 outputs over a two-wire link, scanned automatically. Latch inputs, position compare outputs, manual pulse generator and jog functions complete the set of motion I/O on the card.
