M-7016-G converts the electrical output of strain gauges and load cells into digital values that can be read over RS-485. Two analog channels accept full-bridge 4-wire sensors, and each channel can be configured individually for voltage or current input across several ranges, from ±15 mV up to ±2.5 V, and ±20 mA.
Beyond the two measurement inputs, the module provides a 0 ~ +10 V excitation voltage output rated at 40 mA, one digital input with a 50 Hz event counter, and four open-collector digital outputs that can be set as high or low alarm outputs. A linear mapping function lets raw readings be converted directly into engineering units using a user-defined correspondence table, which reduces the scaling work in the host system.
This grey-cover variant (ordering code M-7016-G CR) uses the Modbus RTU and DCON protocols, both selectable in software. Its 1500 VDC intra-module isolation, built-in dual watchdog and -25 ~ +75 °C operating range suit DIN-rail installations in building, factory and machine automation.
