The I-7012FD CR is a single-channel analogue input module from the I-7000 RS-485 range. It accepts differential voltage signals from ±150 mV to ±10 V and current signals of ±20 mA, which require an optional external 125 Ω resistor. Conversion is 16-bit, and the module reports its readings over DCON on an RS-485 port.
This fast sampling variant lets you choose between a 10 Hz normal mode and a 100 Hz fast mode, so you can match acquisition speed to the process being monitored. Fast mode is specified at ±0.25% of FSR, while normal mode is ±0.05% of FSR. A 5-digit, 7-segment LED display shows readings locally, which is useful during commissioning and fault finding.
Beyond the analogue channel, the module provides one digital input that can act as a 50 Hz event counter, and two open-collector digital outputs that can be set up for high and low alarm purposes. Built-in dual watchdog timers and 3000 VDC intra-module isolation support reliable operation in automation cabinets.
