GW-2139M bridges Modbus TCP and BACnet MS/TP, so Modbus TCP clients can read and write standard BACnet objects on a building network. It acts as a configurable BACnet MS/TP master on the serial side and as a Modbus TCP server on the Ethernet side, making it useful where existing Modbus equipment must be integrated into a BACnet system without replacing devices.
Modbus coils, input registers and holding registers can be mapped to BACnet object properties, and a simple data translation function adjusts values as they pass between the two protocols. Supported BACnet object types include AI, AO, AV, BI, BO, BV, MSI, MSO and MSV, and the listed BIBBs cover standard read and write services and device management functions. All data transfer is configured with the ICPDAS Utility.
The DIN-rail mounted metal housing is suited to control cabinets, with a specified operating range of -25 ~ +75 °C. The unit is supplied as the GW-2139M CR, with CE, UKCA, FCC, RoHS and WEEE certifications listed.
