The PROFI-5045 CR is a PROFIBUS DP-V0 slave module that adds 24 digital outputs to a PROFIBUS network. The outputs are sink-type with a common ground, and the field side accepts a load voltage of +10 to +40 V, with a maximum load current of 650 mA and short-circuit protection.
Isolation is built in at several points: 3750 Vrms between field and logic, 3000 VDC on the PROFIBUS side for DC-to-DC, and 2500 Vrms for bus-to-logic, supported by high-speed iCoupler network isolation. Each terminal has its own 4 kV ESD protection.
Addressing is set on rotary switches from 0 to 99 and the transmission rate is detected automatically. I/O configuration is carried out using the GSD file in any PROFIBUS configurator. The module draws 1 W, mounts on DIN-rail and operates from -25 to +75 °C.
