The MN-3254T adds 16 isolated digital inputs and 16 isolated digital outputs to a Motionnet network. Each input port can be set to NPN or PNP operation across 12 to 24 V, so it suits sensors from either sourcing convention.
Motionnet transfer speed is selectable at 2.5, 5, 10 or 20 Mbps by DIP switch. At 20 Mbps the communication time per device is 15.1 μs. Power, communication and I/O are isolated from one another. The outputs are open-collector sink type, rated at 200 mA per channel, with internal flywheel diodes that can be returned to different supplies on each eight-channel port.
LED indicators show communication state, the internal 3.3 V supply, the termination resistor switch and I/O status, which helps with commissioning and fault finding. The plastic housing mounts on a DIN rail and is specified for 0 to +60 °C operation.
