The ISO-AD32L is a bus-type isolated 12-bit A/D board for PC/AT compatible computers. It offers 32 single-ended or 16 differential analogue input channels, with a maximum sampling rate of 200 kS/s. The low-gain (L) version suits engineers who need isolated multi-channel acquisition in a single ISA slot.
An on-board 1024-sample FIFO supports gap-free A/D conversion, quoted at 200 kS/s for a single channel and 100 kS/s when scanning channels. Channel selection, gain, input type and operating mode are set in software, so board parameters can be changed without hardware adjustment. The board uses polled data transfer.
Isolation is provided by a built-in DC/DC converter rated at 1000 VDC, with 5000 Vrms photo-isolation protection and inputs that tolerate up to 500 Vrms common-mode voltage. The CA-4002 D-Sub connector is included with the board.
