The I-7016P CR converts signals from full-bridge strain gauges and load cells into measurements on an RS-485 DCON network. Its 6-wire connection adds two sense wires that measure the excitation voltage at the sensor, so the module can detect and compensate for voltage drop along the cable. This makes it a suitable choice where the sensor sits more than 10 metres from the controller.
Beyond raw acquisition, the module supports user-defined linear mapping tables, which convert the measured value directly into weight. It also provides a 0 to +10 V excitation output, one digital input that can be used as a general input or a 50 Hz event counter, and four open-collector digital outputs that can be set to general use or high/low alarm functions.
This variant is the blue-cover version without a local LED display. Choose the I-7016PD if an on-board display is required, or the 4-wire I-7016 series for shorter runs where cable compensation is not needed.
