The FSM-510G-2F CR is a Layer 2 Plus managed switch for Ethernet networks that need Gigabit copper ports, fibre uplinks and centralised control. It combines eight RJ-45 ports at 10/100/1000 Mbps with two SFP slots for 100 or 1000 Mbps fibre modules.
Configuration is available over an RS-232 console, Telnet or a web-based interface, and SNMP allows the switch to be monitored and controlled remotely. QoS, VLAN, port trunking, port security and port mirroring help engineers segment traffic, prioritise critical data and tighten access control on high-bandwidth segments.
Ring redundancy with STP and RSTP provides fail-over in under 20 ms, and IGMP v1/v2/v3 snooping and proxy support keep multicast traffic under control. This ordering code includes a console cable and a wall mount kit, and the switch can be installed on a DIN rail or on a wall.
