ECAT-M808-16AX/S CR is a PCI Express EtherCAT MainDevice board for PC-based motion and I/O control. Its built-in CPU handles multi-axis motion and I/O functions on the card itself, which reduces the processing load on the host PC.
The board supports up to 16 axes, up to 512 EtherCAT nodes and EtherCAT cycle times down to 0.5 ms. Motion features include synchronised motion with E-GEAR and E-CAM, virtual axes and multi-axis linear interpolation. A second CPU provides EtherCAT communication retention, so bus communication and process recipes can continue if the operating system or an application crashes.
On board you get 13 digital inputs, 13 open-collector digital outputs and two 32-bit encoder interfaces with compare trigger outputs. This version ships with a DN-26 and two cables. Note that the base ordering codes exclude the cable and daughter board.
