CAN-2088D is a DeviceNet slave module that generates PWM signals on eight outputs and counts pulses on eight high speed inputs. It suits engineers who need precise hardware-timed output waveforms and fast counting without a dedicated motion controller, with the DeviceNet master handling supervision.
Each PWM channel can be triggered individually or all together in synchronous mode, using either software or hardware triggering. Burst and continuous output modes are supported, with burst counts from 1 to 65535. Each digital input channel includes a 32-bit counter running at up to 500 kHz. The module is supplied with an EDS file for configuring the DeviceNet master interface.
The manufacturer lists communication with several DeviceNet masters and gateways, including Allen-Bradley 193-DNENCAT and 193-DNENCATR, and OMRON CJ1W-DRM21, CS1W-DRM21-V1, C200HW-DRM21-V1 and 3G8F7-DRM21-E. The module mounts on a DIN rail and operates from +10 VDC to +30 VDC over -25 to +75 °C.
