The ALX-9391 is a Linux-based programmable automation controller that brings computing, I/O and operator interface into a single metal unit. It suits machine and panel builders who want HMI, data acquisition and control handled by one device, running Ubuntu 20.04 on a 64-bit Intel Atom E3950 processor with 8 GB DDR4 memory and a 64 GB SSD.
Three expansion slots accept local I/O from the I-9K, I-97K and e-9K series. Remote I/O can be added through Ethernet I/O modules and RS-485 I/O modules. Application programs can be written in GNU C using the standard LinPAC SDK, and can be stored on a CFast card or USB mass storage device.
Connectivity includes two RJ-45 Gigabit Ethernet ports, four serial ports (RS-232/RS-485, 3000 VDC isolated), VGA and HDMI display outputs and four USB ports. The unit has a redundant power input with a relay output for alarm, a built-in real-time clock and dual watchdog timers.
