XW514 CR adds eight RS-485 serial ports to uPAC-50xx and WP-51xx series controllers. It suits projects where a controller needs to talk to several serial devices at once without moving to a separate communication gateway.
Each port has a 128-byte FIFO buffer and can run at up to 115,200 bps. Parity, data bit and stop bit settings are configurable across the ranges listed below, so the board can match a wide variety of serial devices. The board is non-isolated and is specified for an operating range of -25 to +75 °C.
Typical connections include bar code readers, intelligent sensors, instrumentation equipment, computers and other devices fitted with an RS-485 port. The board draws 0.6 W and measures 66 x 82 x 13 mm (W x L x H).
