MN-3257T CR is a Motionnet expansion module that adds 32 isolated digital output channels to a Motionnet network. Each channel is an open-collector sink output with an internal flywheel diode, rated up to +30 VDC and 200 mA per channel, so it can switch typical industrial loads directly from the module.
Engineers typically choose this module to grow a distributed I/O network without adding CPU load. Up to 64 modules can share one Motionnet transfer line, giving up to 2048 output channels. Output status is updated automatically at a fixed cycle, and input-change interrupts can be set for points that need monitoring, avoiding repeated polling.
Isolation is provided between power, communication and I/O, with 3000 Vrms rated on the outputs. The flywheel diode of each 8-channel port can be connected to a separate power source, and LEDs show communication state and I/O status. The module is supplied from 24 VDC and mounts on a DIN rail.
