The IR-712P-MTCP-5 learns infrared remote commands from a wide range of electronic devices, stores them in the module or exports them to a file, and replays them on demand. Its two IR output channels can drive devices individually or simultaneously, which suits setups with several targets to control.
Control is through its Ethernet interface, which runs a Modbus TCP/UDP server and also accepts DCON ASCII string commands over TCP/UDP. The module can therefore be integrated with Modbus clients such as PACs, PLCs and PCs, and it can take the place of conventional IR remote controls in automated systems.
Powered over Ethernet (IEEE 802.3af, Class 1) and mounted on DIN-rail, it is aimed at smart home and building automation projects. The package includes two CA-IR-SH2251-5 IR emitter cables, and the supplied cables give a remote control range of 125% of the CA-IR-SH2251.
